The Vasco da Gama Portuguese Cultural and Civic Center facility is a two story building located on 355 James Street, Bridgeport CT. The member’s only facility offers a sports bar on the first floor with a beautiful large events hall on the second floor. Parking is available in a secure parking lot on premises.

Banquet hall – is located on the second floor with over nine hundred square foot. The main stairwell entrance is beautifully crafted in granite. You enter the Main hall through charming wood/glass doors. The Hall has wood flooring and chandelier lighting. There is a concert stage, kitchen, restrooms and a bar to accommodate any celebration from weddings, christenings, holiday events to corporate functions. This room holds up to 400 guests.

Banquet Hall Rental – Anyone interested in renting the all can call 203-334-2148 or send an email to special events coordinators hall@vdgcenter.org to make reservations and check availability.

Sports bar  – The sports bar is smoke free and available to all members of the Vasco da Gama Portuguese Cultural and Civic center daily from  9:00 am – 11 PM ET. The sports bar offers members:

Sports games –  Watch live sports games from  Portugal and other European countries. Other sports such as football, baseball, tennis, and golf are also available. All games are broadcasted directly and can be enjoyed on a large screen television.

Activities – The sports bar offers a meeting place for friends to gather and enjoy a friendly game of pool, foosball, chess or simply read the paper and enjoy an espresso.

Full Stock Bar – Members are always greeted by friendly bartenders ready to serve a variety of domestic or imported liquors. Best of all the prices are offered at discount prices.

Lunch – Enjoy traditional authentic Portuguese dishes prepared by our chef.

Smoking Lounge – A comfortable area for our members who wish to smoke. The lounge includes a comfortable seating area, television and bar service.

Free internet access –  Members can choose to use our computer systems to access the internet or notebook computers can access the internet though our wireless access.
